The Challenge
Design a user-centric easy to navigate website that had a mobile-first focus to address the technological needs of it’s user. In addition, the client wanted to be able to easily update and maintain the frequently changing content themselves without needing extensive coding knowledge. Finally, the site information needed to be reorganized in a user-friendly structure to allow quick and easy access to the most important resources on the site.
Our Solution
We designed and developed a new WordPress website for the District of Columbia Housing Authority. This was a unique project designing for Android users first as they were the primary audience for this client. We also developed an easy-to-use page builder module to allow DCHA staff to build custom pages with all of the various elements required by the customer, such as video embeds, vertical and horizontal tabs, accordion style lists, image galleries, etc. with no coding skills needed.
This site was designed with mobile users in mind first based on the initial analytics of the site. As a result, we focused on the mobile experience and designed the site so it would be easily rendered appropriately on all platforms.
